Soluție:

Se aleg un număr \( \displaystyle a = \frac{1}{2} \in \mathbb{Q \setminus Z} \)
și un număr \( \displaystyle a * b = 7 \in \mathbb{N} \),
apoi se rezolvă ecuația
\( \displaystyle \begin{aligned} \frac{1}{2} * b & = 7 \\\ \frac{1}{2} \cdot b -5 \cdot \frac{1}{2} -5\cdot b + 30 & = 7 \\\ b -5-10\cdot b + 60 & = 14 \\\ b -10\cdot b & = 14 + 5 - 60 \\\ -9\cdot b & = -41 \\\ b & = \frac{41}{9} \in \mathbb{Q \setminus Z} \end{aligned} \)

Observație:
În cazul în care pentru \( a \in \mathbb{Q \setminus Z} \) și \( a * b \in \mathbb{N} \) alese inițial nu se obține \( b \in \mathbb{Q \setminus Z} \),
se reia procedeul schimbând una dintre valorile inițiale (sau chiar ambele valori).
