Pe $ \mathbb{R} $ se definește legea de compoziție $x * y = xy -9 x -9 y + 90 $.
Ecuația $ x * x = 10 $ are, în $ \mathbb{R} $, soluţia:

Rezolvaţi în $ \mathbb{R} $ ecuaţia $ x * x = 10 $.

Soluție:

Conform b)
are loc egalitatea $ x * y = (x-9)(y -9) + 9 $, $ \forall x, y \in \mathbb{R} $,
deci
$ \displaystyle \begin{aligned} x * x & = (x-9)(x -9) + 9 = \\\ & = (x-9)^2 + 9, \end{aligned}$

iar ecuația devine:

$ (x-9)^2 + 9 = 10 $
$ (x-9)^2 = 1 $
$ x-9 = \pm 1 $
